Archilochus, the renowned poet, sang praises of Paros’ barley, livestock, and exceptional wines as early as the 7th century BC. The island's unique topography, marked by fertile plains and gentle mountains, has long nurtured its people and their deep connection to the land.

This bond between the locals and their soil evolved into something remarkable in the 1920s with the establishment of cooperatives. These early organizations gradually grew from supplying farming essentials to producing premium-quality wine, cheese, and olive oil. Over the decades, these cooperatives have become the heart of Paros’ agricultural identity.
