Argatia Winery

Rodohori, Naoussa

Organic - Xinomavro, Negkoska, Mavrodapnhe, Malagouzia, Assyrtiko

The boutique family winery Argatia, was founded in 2000 by Panagiotis Georgiadis, specialist in collective actions of the viticulture sector, and Dr. Haroula Spinthiropoulou, agronomist, specialist in viticulture, and author of the book “Grapevine Varieties of Greece”.

Argatia refers to a very important institution of the Greek agricultural society of Pontos meaning "cooperation for the achievement of a common purpose."

Scientific knowledge, experience, and love for wine were pieced together to create well-balanced, biological vineyards of indigenous grapevine varieties (Xinomavro, Negoska, Assyrtiko, Athiri, Malagouzia), necessary to produce high-quality wines.

Nowadays, both the founder’s sons work at the family winery. Christopher and Konstantinos are the next generation of winemakers who are adding their own “touch” to the family winery.
